Cottage and rowboat on a quiet river poster

Thatched-roof cottage and 2 rowboats on the river poster

A thatched-roof cottage stands on the bank of a peaceful river. In the foreground, 2 wooden rowboats are moored at the water’s edge, among grasses and wildflowers, and a large weeping willow shades the house. This pastoral river poster is bathed in soft pastel light, where nothing moves and everything invites a slower pace. Tender greens, pinks and pale blues play off one another in a vertical composition that leads from the flowery bank up to the house. The lettering “QUIET RIVER” accompanies this countryside scene.

A gentle pastoral scene for a bedroom

Its pastel tones suit a bedroom, a child’s room, a bathroom or a reading nook. It blends well with painted wood, washed linen, floral fabrics and wicker. Tall and narrow, it fits above a bedside table or a chest of drawers. With other countryside or flower posters, it makes a tender wall. A lovely gift for someone who loves the English countryside, for an angler, for friends who have just bought a house by the water, or for a new baby.
